: Does a computer freeze after 10-20 minutes of playing Valorant?
Hey everyone,
I've been experiencing some issues with my desktop lately.
CPU: I7-7700k
GPU: GTX 1080 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-A
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (I'll check the details later, probably at work)
Hard Drives: (Not sure, I'll look into it later)
OS: Windows 10 Home Edition
When playing Valorant, the computer tends to freeze after about 10-20 minutes, accompanied by a buzzing noise from the headphones. After that, it's impossible to return to Windows or open the task manager. I have to shut it down by keeping the power button pressed. It seems like this freezing only occurs during gameplay. Browsing or using Windows doesn't trigger it. Temperatures are normal during idle and while gaming.
I've tried the following:
- Formatted and reinstalled Windows 10, updated all drivers
- Cleaned dust from the case
- Cleaned CPU cooler and fan, applied new thermal paste
- Ran MemTest86 on RAM (no errors)
- Performed a stress test on GPU with FurMark (appears fine)
- Removed VALORANT from SSD and installed it on HDD (still freezes)
Unfortunately, these steps didn't resolve the problem. Any suggestions?
Identify the brand and model of the PSU. Check the CPU, GPU, and motherboard temperatures.
