What is the rationale behind utilizing monitors with refresh rates exceeding twice the standard rate? Does employing such high-frequency displays significantly improve the experience for players of competitive shooter games?

Many individuals find this to be true. Furthermore, it’s important to note that on numerous devices and televisions, the available input rate is limited to 30Hz at 4K resolution.

Additionally: television input lag is typically greater than that found on monitors.

Many individuals concur with this statement. Furthermore, it’s important to note that several devices and televisions may be limited to a 30Hz input at 4K resolution.

Addendum: Television inputs typically exhibit higher latency compared to monitors.

I enjoy playing video games on my high-definition television, though I usually avoid the connected online multiplayer options. I generally prefer to play single-player campaign modes. When configuring my settings for the games I enjoy, even with my current equipment, I typically reduce the resolution to 1080p and increase visual quality for improved image clarity and reduced stuttering.
