Your budget ranges from $400 to $600.
The notebook you're thinking about should be 15.6 inches or larger.
You prefer a screen resolution of 1080p or higher.
You need a portable laptop, not a desktop replacement.
You require at least 3 hours of battery life.
You’d like to play games on your laptop; if yes, please specify the titles and the settings you want for each. (Consider some DS emulation, but keep it simple.)
You have other tasks in mind, such as photo or video editing, etc.
You mainly use the laptop for casual web browsing, watching videos, and word processing.
You need a minimum of 512GB storage, with a preference for at least 1TB.
If you plan to buy from certain websites, please share their links.
You’d like the laptop to last three years or more.
You want to know about the optical drives you should look for—DVD ROM/Writer, Bluray ROM/Writer, etc.—but no specific requirements are necessary.
Tell us about the brands you prefer and those you avoid, along with your reasons.
I don’t want to purchase from Asus; I previously bought a Vivobook 15 from them, but the motherboard failed within months. The build quality was poor—keyboard stuck, keys falling out after weeks, plastic casing cracking, and hinges breaking open the case completely.
You’re from the United States.
If you have any further details, please let me know.
Ideally, I’d prefer a laptop with excellent build quality, possibly with a metal frame. Most plastic models I’ve owned develop cracks within a year, which eventually cause parts to detach, often around the hinges.
