I'm considering purchasing new components soon and noticed they're very similar due to their core and thread counts. Which one do you think performs better? The most demanding games I play are GTA 5 and COD: Modern warfare, so these CPUs should suffice for my needs. I removed the 1600 AF, 3500X and 3600 from the comparison because: 1600 AF isn't available in my country, which would make shipping costs very high. 3500X benchmarks didn't justify the investment. The 3600 is the clear winner here, though I excluded it from the options since we're focusing on quad-core CPUs, even though it's nearly comparable to the 3400G at a lower price.

3300x shines better than other Ryzen 3 models. Ryzen 5 1600/2600/x, 7 1700/x, and 7 2700/x perform well. Keep in mind that the 4C8T is solid now, but it might not be the best in a few years. Aim for the Ryzen 5 4600/4600X when it becomes popular after summer.

I expected this response here. The discussion isn't about the cost, it's about how the CPUs would behave in terms of cores and threads. This might help those considering a 3400G without a dedicated GPU, since they could opt for the 3100 and a RX 570 (new or used) at a price lower than the 3400G alone. It remains a confusing debate. If someone is evaluating a 3400G, they probably aren't thinking about swapping it for another CPU with its own dedicated card, likely due to space constraints. Therefore, the performance gap isn't a factor.
