Do you suspect your i7-14700K is malfunctioning?
Are there identical game crashes when xmp is turned off? If not, it's likely just a RAM issue.
Reinstall the CPU cooler and replace the thermal paste. These temperatures aren't typical for the Nh-DH15. Also, could you tell me the type of PC case you're using? Please share a photo of your system with the side panel removed. Additionally, what BIOS version are you currently running? Check CPU-Z in the motherboard section for more details.
Hello, almost a few months ago I thought I hadn't applied the cooler and paste properly, so I tried again—but it didn't help at all.
My BIOS is still up to date (I forgot the version, but the site shows the latest). My PC case is a DEEPCOOL CH560 DIGITAL. Attached the photo as you requested.
Before this dust buildup, temperatures were high enough so dust wasn't a factor. My second fan is positioned slightly higher because the RAM is getting in the way; I've seen on the site that adjusting its height helps with RAM clearance.
Hello, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was surprised to find it set to 125W even though I didn’t realize it should be 253W. By checking the BIOS, I confirmed the setting, but I’m unsure why it appears in Intel’s default configuration. Could you assist me with this? I’ve attached some screenshots in case they help clarify things. Apologies if I’ve been unclear about voltage settings—I’m still learning.
Hello All,
I manually adjusted PL1 to 125W without making any changes, and now when I run tests in cinebench CPU multi-core for about 5 seconds, temperatures drop from 100°C to 80°C and remain stable. The game still crashes as expected when I start Horizon Zero Dawn, with the same error appearing at the beginning. However, on the third attempt, the game started normally and ran without issues. I might consider sending a return merchandise authorization since I suspect a long-term problem that could have affected my CPU. This is while I'm conducting the test.
