I also have an old power supply that's still working well, and I'm planning to upgrade to a new GPU like the 4080 Super/6800 XT or 4070 Super Aero. My concern is whether my current PSU can support it. It’s a cooler master thunder M620W unit, and it’s quite outdated—there aren’t many sites checking compatibility for those GPUs.
I wouldn't use those with my seasonic built Fractal Ion 650w gold, let alone a worn-out 620w CM PSU of uncertain quality.
No, Sirfa/High Power is the OEM for the Fractal ION Gold. You must upgrade this outdated group-regulated unit for an ATX3.0 PSU. A 850w model is recommended. The top options are available here: https://hwbusters.com/best_picks/best-at...busters/3/
Mine is a SFX unit crafted by Seasonic.
