My 13-year-old son is interested in getting a gaming PC, but I’m not familiar with these devices. What should I consider when choosing one? I don’t want to end up needing an upgrade in just a year. He’ll also use it for video editing on his YouTube channel and play games like Call of Duty. I’d prefer something affordable. The online listings often focus on high-end specs that seem confusing to someone new. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Man, your key works fine, stop repeating "caming," it's just about gaming.
What do you think counts as a fortune?
Tell me what budget you'd be willing to spend on a PC, otherwise I'll give you some wild ideas.

Likely a ready-made top choice, we'll hold off until you confirm your budget.

What games?
Big difference between someone wanting to play Fortnite or PUBG vs the latest Indiana Jones game.

This might be the sole option to secure a decent GPU right now.

Your budget looks sensible.
Inquire with Son about the features he believes he needs.
Gradually, refreshing the graphics card is a typical practice.
Sadly, ready-made gaming PCs aren't designed for updates.
If you have a reliable shop, they might be able to create something fitting.
If Son is capable enough, let him assemble it himself.

Perhaps similar to this…

I haven’t added Windows, keyboard, and mouse.
The case, keyboard, and mouse have a distinct look and feel.
They’re just a starting point.

Consider switching to a 7600, reducing the air cooler for stock to save around £50 and increasing the GPU, possibly checking the used market.

Find them in some nostalgic 90s titles. Similar to what was done on DOS and Mac systems. Wolfenstien 3D, Patriot command. Spectre 3D, Asteroids. Just a few examples.

At least this gives you a good reason to buy a very cheap laptop until they actually earn it or know what they want to play.
