Do you need assistance with the SATA power for your fan hub?
So I admit it... my OEM proprietary MB supplies power for SATA, but it doesn’t directly draw from the PSU’s SATA supply. The MB manages the power flow. Would it be safe to run a SATA-powered fan hub from the MB? I’m mainly concerned about overloading it. I’ve looked extensively for similar discussions on MBs that provide direct SATA power, as you mentioned. Shortened version: I have two HDPWR ports on the MB with the right cables for SATA drives, and a hub using Arctic 12V PWM could work. It might seem odd, but I just want to confirm.
