Do you know how to use this service well?
I chose Opera Mail as my email client and am experiencing some difficulties with it. - I haven't really used another email program besides Outlook in the past, but since then I switched to X-Notifier for managing my emails. Eventually, I decided to return to a desktop application. I was able to add two of my emails (@live & @hotmail) via POP3 and it's functioning well, but I'm struggling to see my folders. When I visit www.hotmail.com and log in, I notice a lot of folders are set up for important emails, yet in Opera Mail only two folders appear under my email accounts (Inbox & Sent). How can I display the remaining folders? It doesn't show a trash bin, though it does have one in the "All Messages" tab, which is a bit inconvenient because it merges trash from both accounts. I'd also appreciate the option to move the program to the system tray instead of the taskbar, but I can't locate that setting. Outside these issues, I really enjoy Opera Mail—it's fast and has a straightforward, user-friendly interface. I'd prefer to stick with it. I tried Thunderbird and found its interface more complex and slower than needed. Thanks for your assistance.
POP3 only transfers messages to your inbox, it doesn<|pad|>, IMAP is the better choice but Hotmail doesn’t support it. See below to understand the process.
POP Workflow: Join server → Get all emails → Save locally as new messages → Remove emails from server* Unplug
The usual POP action is to remove emails from the server, though many clients let you keep a backup on the server.
IMAP Workflow: Join server → Get requested content and store it locally (like new emails, summaries, or chosen messages) → Handle changes such as marking as read or deleting → Unplug.
