I want icons to stay where you leave them without being tightly packed together. For example, keeping one app open while working with five others would be easier if it stays on the right side of the task bar. I’d rather not rearrange them automatically. If there’s a way to adjust the spacing between task bar icons, that would really help. I used to draw things manually just in case.

Tried using tablet mode to make icons more spread out on the taskbar
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...n-...7b30041f30
Other shells could achieve this, but it seems an app can't alter how Windows manages the taskbar. You might need a different desktop environment for this.

for a few reasons I can't find that choice, I attempted to right-click and modify the menu to include more options, but only VPN, Nighttime, and Location remain available alongside Connect, Project, Focus assist and additional features, while tablet mode is missing.

It's a bit unconventional, but have you come across Fences software? Even though it doesn't control the taskbar, it handles desktop icons when you have a lot of them. The best part is that double-clicking the desktop hides the fence blocks, and then clicking again brings them back. This allows for a tidy desktop without constant monitoring.

Just an idea if it helps
