Do you have really slow frames per second when playing Counter-Strike: GO?
Hey, I used to play CS:GO but stopped for a bit, then decided to come back when I started up the game. Suddenly something weird happened; even though I kept settings at exactly the same level as before (set high), the frame rate was super low, between 30 and 50 FPS. When I played last time it could get up to 200-300 FPS. I've tried reinstalling the game, changing things in the settings, adding launch options, checking the files for a fix, but none of those tricks worked. Even on the lowest settings my frame rate is stuck around 70 FPS and it just drops straight down to 30 without stopping. I have an RTX 3070 card and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600x CPU, so nothing else should be slowing me down because everything was working fine before too. My drivers are updated in Windows and inside the GeForce Experience app. You might have a similar problem? Any tips or other people who had this exact issue? I mentioned my CPU only uses about 25% power when it plays and my RAM is being used up to 50%, but I do have 16GB of memory.
What is the heat of your processor and graphics card like? Have you checked for viruses? Do you set up GeForce Experience or NVIDIA Control Center to boost picture sharpness? Please tell me exactly what your computer looks like, including every part from brand to model, how long each one has been running.
My temperature is between the high 40s and low 50s. I don't have any malware, according to Malwarebytes. I'm not sure what GeForce Experience settings are or if there is anything called NVIDIA Control Panel (NVC). I bought my parts in late 2020: an ASUS ROG Strix B550 Gaming WiFi motherboard, an MSI RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC graphics card, and an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor. I also have a Corsair RM850 850-watt power supply unit. Everything was working fine before the CSGO game started. I just updated my BIOS yesterday because I thought it might help performance, but today when I played again, my FPS dropped back down to the high 40s and low 50s.
