I saw information about butterfly enclosures online. Is that the only option? I really dislike cockroaches, which is why I’m considering a mini PC over a desktop. Still, I need the power of a desktop.
I’m not joking or trying to be funny. I’m taking this seriously and hoping I’m understood correctly.

Are there cockroaches in your home or apartment?
Likely not.
To ease your concerns, just wrap everything securely in a sealed screen mesh, similar to the one you use for windows.

It's really tough because the baby can squeeze through the tiniest gaps, even through nets, and accumulate organic dust while laying eggs. Use a large container, install a roach-free environment, and replace it regularly.

I'm from a subtropical part of Australia and faced a long-term cockroach issue in my home (they were quite large). My PC case is big and I open it occasionally, usually just dusting or seeing spider webs. Once there was a full ant colony inside my Oculus Rift—proof of how effective the device was—but never any cockroaches.

Eighteen years ago, I worked in restaurants that had cockroach problems, and those places had poor electrical setups. The roaches would damage circuits, even affecting other appliances like dishwashers because they liked the warm control boards. These were smaller roaches compared to what’s common in my area.

My take from this: if you have small cockroaches, they’ll likely move into your PC and other devices, making it pointless to try to keep them out. The best solution is to maintain cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. Leaving crumbs on the counter overnight would be enough for roaches to stay.

The things I notice around my home are roughly 1 to 3 inches long. I've never seen anything smaller and it would be unsettling to think these might be newborns that just hatched, coming from outside. I have no idea how they manage to get inside. I also wonder if they might enter the computers, but since the cats enjoy playing with them, I only see the ones that are dead.

I used to reside in Louisiana... commonly known as Roach Central.
Once, someone tried to kill a battery alarm clock by eating some of its insulation and shorting it.
The wires were about 0.2 inches long.
I've seen others with similar issues between the glass tabletop and the wooden frame.

These are the German cockroaches you need to be concerned about, as babies are about 0.3cm long (0.1 inches). And indeed, they are now common everywhere.
