I enjoyed the feedback, but I’m opting for a 480 mm with 30 mm thickness. I purchased it for 90€ from EKWB. I won’t be investing much in overclocking; my goal is to push the chip performance to its limit while bypassing power limits to reach around 300W, especially since I spend a lot on 3D rendering. I expect temperatures to stay between 70-75°C, using a custom water loop featuring D5 and Quantum Velocity CPU Block, plus a 480 mm radiator (my PSU is 1200W). I’ve been saving for a while now for this upgrade. This machine will serve as both my work PC and personal setup, which is great since I’m a freelancer and want to avoid taxes. The M2 for storage seems unnecessary—it could easily double or triple the cost without adding much value. I already have a M2 NVME Gen 4 for Windows, and I think it makes sense to get another one for a dedicated work drive where I can handle rendering and editing (currently 550 MB/s SSD SATA, about 1TB). I usually just move files from the SSD to my HDDs after working. I already own a lot of storage—around 50TB across five drives, mostly for work (two) and personal use (movies, photos, music). That’s roughly 50TB total. Buying a full 50TB NVME drive would be costly. I wish I had an unlimited budget, but the bigger the budget, the more compromises I have to make. For instance, my main priorities are CPU, GPU, and the custom loop. Drives and PSU are being reused from my existing build.

Cloud storage works better for freelancers because it helps prevent data loss and is more affordable.
