Hi all,
Please watch the video and listen to the audio issue.

I’ve tried everything within my knowledge to resolve this problem. It began after updating the Nvidia Game Ready Driver (the newest version) and the HDMI output sound became completely distorted, as shown in the video.
I’ve done the following:
- Rolled back the drivers, reinstalled the Game Ready driver, and added the Studio driver. Still no improvement.
- Performed a full factory reset of the computer, restoring it to a clean state without saving any files.
- Switched to a high-quality 2.1-certified HDMI cable.
The sound from Realtek is perfect when used directly on the computer. It only starts to become problematic when connected through an HDMI port.
I own a ZenBook Pro Duo UX582LR, but nothing is functioning properly. ASUS is demanding $85 for a diagnostic just to see me.
Any audio experts who can help me would be incredibly appreciated. I’ll be thankful for it all.

Hey there,
Merry Christmas.
After you've handled all the troubleshooting, the only missing item is a bios update.
Here’s the latest one:

Pay attention to the instructions on updating the bios—they’re linked in blue. After completing it, restart your device and test again. Share your experience.
Yes, sorry, I did the BIOS update to the latest 305. I manually removed all drivers, including Nvidia and Realtek. I'm really at a loss.
🙁
I use this computer for work, and it was so costly that I'm not sure what to do anymore.
Honestly, in the coming years you should regularly back up your operating system drive to an external storage using software such as Macrium or Acronis. This example shows, particularly when updating your Nvidia software. As you've noticed, you can't depend on Windows factory reset options. Now you're in a scenario where you'll need to completely erase your operating system drive and reinstall Windows from the ground up. Good luck moving forward.
