I recently purchased a Logitech Performance MX mouse for my college use. I appreciate its ergonomic design and overall look, but the horizontal tracking feels quite restrictive for me. When I move the mouse smoothly from left to right, it shifts from a southwest to a northeast orientation instead of the usual west to east movement I’m used to with my Gigabyte Ghost mouse. I suspect this is because the laser is misaligned (which is frustrating). I’m wondering if there’s any software available to adjust the tracking tilt so it responds more accurately to my movements. Or perhaps there’s a way to calibrate the mouse’s direction for better performance?

Checked for items in drivers. If none found, consider returning it or it might just be a matter of how you're accustomed to using the mouse.
