I rarely play video games, but this one was my favorite. I think I first played around 2005 when I was a young teen. But right now I can't remember the name of the game at all. It felt like chess, but it ran on a map of a country that had lots of different parts or regions, and some rules I don't know about: if you could take over your neighbors' land, or get taken over yourself by others, you might win. If you took everything in a region, the whole game was won. Do you know this game? It reminds me of the mobile game called "state io" on iPhones now, but it ran on a PC instead.

I talked about everything I can recall. There were several rivals at once (they all were computers). The only thing I remember was that a whole country on a map got split into many areas for fighting and taking over. Not danger. Yes, it was an old 2D game with no fancy graphics or cartoons. But it should be newer than RISK if it's from the year 2000.
