My computer has been acting strangely for a while, sometimes failing to boot completely. Some USB ports are unpredictable, connecting and disconnecting devices quickly, though others still work fine. This inconsistency makes it difficult to pinpoint the issue. Recently, performance has dropped noticeably, especially with powerful games that usually run smoothly. I've been running diagnostics with assistance. One finding was that voltage levels on my system are off, which surprised the technician helping me. They didn’t specify what they were checking, so I’m trying to identify exactly what triggered their concern for future troubleshooting.

Here’s a screenshot from HWinfo:

Details about the hardware:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
- GPU: Radeon 7900 XT
- PSU: Evga SuperNOVA 1300 G2 120-g2-1300-XR 80+ gold
- MOBO: ASUS Prime X470 PRO AM4

In reality, measuring voltage with software often leads to significant errors. If the reading is off by almost two volts, starting the measurement becomes extremely unlikely.

Wait for the voltage checker before purchasing a new PSU. Occasionally my computer won't start, but it's rare. The issue usually goes away after replacing the battery on the MOBO, though it still happens sometimes.

When the voltage is just a bit over 10 volts, the system would stop working. There isn't a 12-volt motherboard that can handle that level.

The PSU is working properly. I've noticed many more severe issues with AMD HWi64 readings on other motherboards.

Since you didn't mentioned the game, resolution or RAM it could be anything. If you're playing at 1080, which I hope you're not with a 7900xt, you're bottlenecked.
4K or 1440 could be RAM or bad OC if you are OC'd.
It could even be a MB going bad. I've had systems with really dumb random issues just like you and the same frustrations. Asus also at least recently hasn't been a fan favorite.
