My S key stopped working yesterday. The G Pro linear switch is my preferred choice, so I'm not sure about switching it. Can I get a G213 keyboard to replace the S key with the G Pro? Are these actually the same?

Unless I'm wrong, the G213 keyboard uses membrane switches rather than mechanical ones, which it calls "mech-dome" to highlight its supposed performance. You'll need a Romer G switch and you'll have to solder it in.

The plastic keys on the G213 are identical to those on the G Pro.

It seems you wouldn't have thought of that. Probably more affordable to purchase Romer-G compatible keycaps.
