Do the AAAs not work on my Asus laptop?
I own an Asus Vivobook 17 equipped with a Ryzen 5 5500u (AMD Radeon Graphics) and 16GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz dual channel. Despite these specifications, I'm unable to play games such as AC Origins, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Resident Evil 2, etc. They display errors like this:
"The application did not start correctly (0x000007b".
I've tried various fixes including installing and updating graphics drivers, DirectX, and Microsoft Visual, but nothing works. Even older titles like Far Cry 3, GTA 5, Watch Dogs, and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 are running at only 50-60 FPS in the lowest settings on my laptop.
I'm puzzled as to why my laptop is underperforming. However, I've noticed that games needing at least 1GB of VRAM or less (e.g., 512MB) are running smoothly, while those needing more than 1GB (e.g., 2GB) aren't."
the appearance matches that of the Ryzen 5500u apu. it could be a new model, though it wasn't built for gaming. the installation would likely need directx and microsoft visuals.
