I reduced the size of my PC and checked AsRock's B550m-ITX/AC bios page, which mentioned a warning about using Ryzen 3300x. I need to apply AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 V2 1.1.0.0 patch D. Caution: Do not update the BIOS if your system uses a 3300X CPU. This seems to indicate compatibility issues with the board rather than just the BIOS. Should I invest more in a higher-end B550 model?

Indicates removal of CPU support in a specific BIOS release, likely to accommodate newer models.

It depends on the BIOS version you're referring to. If it's outdated, you might need an update for compatibility.

You can look up the motherboard’s BIOS version before purchasing, and it usually comes with the most recent release available at the time of sale.
