Do I need to overclock my RAM or not?
I’m mainly focusing on editing with a current RAM speed of 2133 MHz. My setup includes: CPU – Intel Core i9-9900K, Motherboard – GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO RAM, RAM – 32GB (2 x 16GB) G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series, Power Supply – CORSAIR CX Series CX650 650W ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE. Hard Drive – Intel 660p M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC SSD, Graphics Card – GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 Super WINDFORCE OC 3X 8G, and Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C19D-32GVRB.
Enable XMP, choose 3600MHz. Frequency adjustment could occur via a ratio, resulting in 36.
If you: Pose this inquiry and intend to edit with the PC, then the response is definitively NO, as memory overclocking can be complex and often requires hours of effort due to reboots or crashes from unstable changes. I wouldn't compromise on a power supply that much.
