Hi everyone, I haven’t been very active in the tech community lately, so this might seem like a simple question. If I were to assemble a new AM4 Ryzen system, would AMD-optimized memory still be useful? My previous build was from 2016 and I’m still using some older DDR4 RAM. While I’m checking Amazon for more info, I’m seeing new terms and jargon. I couldn’t find a clear answer on Google—so I’m wondering if my existing 2400MHz DDR4 sticks will still work properly or if it’s better to get new ones. Thanks!

They'll function well, yet Ryzen boosts speed with quicker RAM, making it a good choice if you're on a budget.

He actually has 64GB of RAM in the specs, making it a more substantial upgrade than expected. It seems his needs justify this amount, so I’ll stick with what you have now while keeping an eye out for cheaper options later.
