Hey guys, right now I have gigabit internet (1 Gbit/s). I am using this Linksys Atlas Pro 6 with two nodes as a mesh system. The first node connects directly to my default modem through the LAN cable. That modem isn't great for me. The second node is in another room. My apartment is pretty small, it's on the third floor out of six apartments per block. We are planning to move soon because I don't like living here anymore. A few months ago the cable from my second node broke. I haven't bought a new one yet. Now I feel that I can't reach all parts of the bedroom after this second node is down temporarily. On Amazon in the Netherlands, I saw an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 Dual Band Gaming Router for €194.81 and wondered if it adds any extra value to using it next to my mesh system. Or should I save some money and keep using the mesh system? If you need more info please let me know. Thanks a lot!

In short, a gaming router won't help much. You already have fast internet from your ISP. You don't need quality of service settings.

gaming routers use MIMO technology to give you faster wireless speeds. However, this can make your internet slower than usual because of higher latency, just like any other Wi-Fi router. If you play online games often, try not to use mesh systems or any in-between setups. For the best gaming experience, set up a modem in bridge mode and connect it directly to your computer with a dial-up connection on Windows 10 or 11. I hope this helps!
