I'm not doubting your skills, but can you give me a source for that? Also, as tennis2 mentioned earlier, if I just crank up the CPU speed by a little bit, it should only add around 15-20 watts of power. That way, my power supply shouldn't get overloaded.

It's hard for Nvidia or AMD to figure out which power supply you have, or how strong that one is.
