Hi fellas, here is my computer setup: Mobo is Gigabyte Z97M-D3H CPU is an i7 4790K Ram is 16 GB (8*2) using 1866 DDR3 GPU is Asus OC RTX 3060 When I play games on 1080p ultra or very high settings no problems FPS are over 80 or even 100. But when I turn on Ray tracing it drops massively to 40-50 FPS. (DLSS is ON and VSYN is OFF) My question, is my CPU and other parts bottlenecking my GPU or is this normal? And do I need to lower graphics settings and try RT. As far as I know RTX 3060 is more then enough for 1080p gaming. Your inputs are appreciated.

Got 40 to 50 frames per second when running in ultra on the RTX 3060, but real-time rendering really slows things down, cutting the FPS in half.

40 to 50 FPS when using RTX and an Ultra setting with a 3060 is about right. The RTX really slows down the game by half.

So, great news because I didn't really plan on upgrading anything in the next one or two years. I figured my old CPU was causing all the slow-downs. Thanks for taking your time, mate. Really appreciate it.
