If I click "all fans full," will everything turn on completely or just the selected fan? It seems nothing is happening, I can still see 0RPM for all components. My CPU temperature is also increasing, which made me very worried so I turned off the system again... I attempted to set everything to PDW and checked the data on the graph, but no fans are spinning. Do I need to save my settings and exit for it to show any changes?? Even at the lowest temperatures (starting from 0°C), fans should spin according to the default curve. I still don’t understand why "auto" or "dc" doesn’t mean at least some airflow instead of zero. I truly think I need someone to inspect this. I can't say how much I dislike dealing with this—there’s just too much I don’t understand, and I’ll probably forget everything by the time I need a new PC. Thank you for trying!

Certainly.
New configurations only activate after saving and restarting the device. Please display screenshots. Capture the BIOS interface using your phone's camera.
Fan DC mode is intended for 3-pin fans.
You possess 4-pin fans, so switch to PWM mode - on.
ALL 4-pin fans.
Incorrect fan settings may prevent proper regulation.

Refresh your bios to the newest release—it seems you might have outdated stock bios with the fan bug. I've noticed this issue affecting some older 670 models from both Asus and MSI.

Not clear enough if you're not paying attention.
Saving means I'm satisfied and want to maintain these settings moving ahead.
Since nothing has changed, I'm not pleased.
However, I'm not here to debate—I'll attempt saving and rebooting to check. Thank you!
If this resolves the issue, screenshots probably won't be necessary.
Understood about the 3pin versus 4pin distinction. I think I'm struggling with my search wording, as I'm not getting the results I expect. This should have been straightforward. Appreciate your time!

Thanks! I'll attempt the prior solution first (it seems the system needs saving and rebooting before changes apply). If that doesn't resolve it, I'll update the Bios. It's reassuring to know this might be a recognized and fixable problem.

Saving settings involves writing them onto a CMOS chip, yet they remain inactive until loaded. They are activated during the POST process, when the computer starts or restarts.

From what I understand, the problem likely involves bios or power issues, so if the bios update doesn't work, I'd consider replacing the board.

Would this "fan bug" also impact the CPU cooler? Testing will have to be delayed until tomorrow (for me) because I'm not near my new PC right now. Upgrading the BIOS is something I've never done before, but the instructions are clear in the manual. Thanks for your help!

With a fresh installation the fans should operate without needing any adjustments.
If your CPU fan is linked to the motherboard's CPU fan header it should function normally.
Disconnect all other fans and components connected to the fan hub.
If the CPU cooler fan isn't running, it's likely the fan headers are faulty.

As mentioned before, this is my very first build. I’m confident I connected everything correctly. I spent a lot of time studying the manual. The second picture displays the CPU cooler attached to the CPU fan on the motherboard. The cooler uses two fans linked together in a chain, which is only one direction. I’m confused about what’s happening and have a few questions:

- Should it work on a new build?
- Do I need to adjust settings in the BIOS myself?
- Could the motherboard be faulty or broken, requiring a BIOS upgrade?

I’m not sure where I should look for help right now. If I wasn’t stuck here, I’d probably troubleshoot the BIOS/software myself. This CPU running without a fan is really unsettling. Thanks!
