Division is actually the most frustrating game I've ever encountered.
Hey, this weekend for The Division sounds interesting, but there are some issues. It doesn’t launch in full screen and can’t set the resolution to 1920 x 1200. Instead, it picks a random size like 2715 x 1527. Loading times are also slow—sometimes it takes a whole minute to reach the main menu after starting. Overall performance is poor compared to other games I’ve played on similar hardware. The system specs look decent for its time, but the resolution control seems tricky. Anyone know how to change the settings manually or fix this?
In theory, the game performs adequately at 1080p Ultra using a GTX 970 (45-60 fps). Your optimization could be problematic. Also, 1200p was never widely adopted, let alone today.
It doesn't matter whether the game wasn't developed by monkeys using crack at any quality setting. The developers continue to hardcode resolutions into the menu, which is quite frustrating now.
It seems like the game isn’t running at its intended resolution despite support for 1200p. The config file changes didn’t help, and the display still shows a lower resolution. You might want to check other settings or contact the developer for further assistance.
The game division stands out more than the others you've tried. It runs smoothly on my 480 model. The experience feels quite dull. The difficulty level isn't great for a loot-focused title. I wish there were more enemy types, similar to Borderlands or Diablo.
Do you have Nvidia DSR turned on in your driver? If yes, consider turning it off. The 2715x1527 value appears to be a scaling factor for DSR. I don’t own the game or use a 16:10 monitor, but searches suggest many people believe 1920x1200 works well. Besides early performance issues, there haven’t been many complaints about the PC port quality since then.
It seems the issue isn't user error but a problem with the team. The reality is, this division offers a solid product.
I concur, using a 770 performed well and operated smoothly. There were no issues with the port, though I didn’t really enjoy the game.
