I have several options or setups, and I’d rather avoid disturbing the switches. Running your 50-foot internet cable between routers could work for a wired link in your bedroom.

Understanding the router's details is useful, but generally any features tied to router operations should be turned off. Connect the main router's cable to a LAN port, not the WAN port, and that should work.

I’m having trouble locating the GUI, but anything mentioning NAT or DHCP/DNS should be safe to disable. For simplicity, consider purchasing a 5-port gigabit switch for less than $20.

I have 50 and 100 foot cables. That should cover most of what I need since I’m in a small one-bedroom apartment. The internet port is on the far right wall, so I’m thinking about setting up a test switch and maybe some wired gas connections instead of just a single long cord.
