All my displays went dark and every fan in my PC froze completely until I manually shut it down while trying to capture a screenshot in Monster Hunter Rise. The next day I lost connectivity when powering on the system, but fixed it by repositioning the GPU. Now, whenever I play for a short time or just casually without touching the machine, the screens go black and the fans increase to full speed each time. Monitoring power usage and temperatures with HWInfo64 didn’t reveal anything unusual before the failure. I purchased the graphics card over a month ago; according to the seller it’s nearly two years old and has lost its warranty last month. It hasn’t received any preventive maintenance. My motherboard features four LEDs indicating errors like CPU, VGA, DRAM, or boot status, but none of them light up consistently. One of the LEDs occasionally flashes briefly during boot before turning off.

The specs I have are: Windows 10 Home 64-bit 21H1, Thermaltake GF1 850W, AMD Ryzen 5600X RTX 2070, Super Gaming OC 8G MSI B550, Tomahawk BIOS 7C91vAB, 4x Corsair Vengeance LPX, 8GB DDR4 3000MHz C15, Samsung 980 PRO 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2. I’ve used various Samsung SSDs and an old Seagate HDD so far. I’ve updated drivers, wiped drives, reinstalled Windows, reset BIOS, placed the GPU in a different PCIe slot, used an older Bequiet 500W power supply, switched cables and connectors for both PSUs, tested every RAM stick, and even tried undervolting the GPU (though materials are missing). I haven’t tried swapping the motherboard or the GPU yet.

I’m struggling to figure out what’s wrong—this system works perfectly in-game for short periods, with no visual glitches or artifacts. It hasn’t crashed during a safemode session in over an hour.
