The Asus ROG Strix B450-E supports front USB-C, but the naming convention can be confusing. It’s designed to make it easier to identify ports and features.
Only the X370, X470 and X570 models feature a USB Type C internal port.
Looking for a USB 3.1 header but the board doesn’t have it. Here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...1925177101. Not all options are available, but the ASUS Prime X470-Pro seems to be the most affordable choice with it.
The different USB versions are often mixed up. USB 3.1 Gen1 is similar to USB 3.0, while USB 3.1 Gen2 supports Type-C. USB 3.0 and 3.1 Gen1 usually have a standard blue connector with a key on one side, whereas USB 3.1 Gen2 resembles a larger Type-C port.
