I consulted Nvidia support multiple times throughout the day, and they attributed the problem to a display stream compression issue. "If a display is linked to the GPU and set to DSC mode, the GPU might employ two internal heads to power the display when the required pixel rate surpasses the GPU’s single-head capacity. This could disrupt your display setup when using several monitors. For instance, connecting two DSC-compatible displays to one GeForce GPU would cause all four internal heads to be active, preventing you from using a third monitor simultaneously." I wasn’t entirely clear on what a 'head' refers to, but that’s the explanation they gave. After several driver updates, resets, and reinstalls, all four displays functioned properly with the QN90B using 4K 120Hz HDR 10-bit RGB over HDMI 2.1, and the two 1080p screens operated on the integrated GPU since I didn’t require the 3080’s performance. I’m unsure which driver update resolved it, but I tried a few randomly and it finally worked—no complaints needed. It might have been the Intel driver update, though I can’t confirm.
