EDIT: Hey! A bit late but in case anyone comes across this, i found a solution even if its a little janky. To fix the issue I plugged in both an hdmi and a display port into my monitor both going to the gpu. After a while it eventually was able to figure itself out and i was able to remove the unused cord. Hope this helps if anyone runs into the issue! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, hope youre having a good day, and also hoping you might be able to help me out. Ive been having an issue where my displayport out to my monitor will cut out, it tends to due it more often when under heavier load. It began happening when I was playing the MW2 remaster campaign, but has since started happening more frequently, even starting to happen occasionally when only using my browser, and theres not even any videos running. I originally found the only way to fix it was restarting my PC by holding down the power button and restarting, and have had some weird boot issues with that, all of which were fixed by hitting the switch on the PSU and waiting for a minute before booting up again normally, ill attach those photos as well. Since then, i have found that i can plug in both HDMI and display port into my monitor, and can switch to hdmi as my input using my monitor, and everything seems to work there just fine, after unplugging and replugging my display port, I can switch back to it using my monitor, and windows realises the same monitor as two different inputs one with hdmi and one with display port. The HDMI takes over as the primary source as far as i can tell. I dont know if this is a hardware or software issue, my system is fairly new having been build around mid november, I have since reinstalled windows for its new boot drive as some of its drives are reused from previous system and properly formatted. So far the troubleshooting steps i have taken are as follows, (some having been during black screen, some as preventative measures) : (During black screen) Unplugging and replugging displayport without any HDMI plugged in (Failed) (During black screen)Restarting computer by holding power button (worked ~60% of the time, with weird boot errors occasionally) (During black screen)Waiting around 5 minutes to see if input would come back on its own (Failed) (During black screen)The weird HDMI switch using monitor controls as mentioned above (Successful) (Preventative/troubleshooting) Re-seating Gpu and its power connectors (Same issues upon boot as before) (Preventative/troubleshooting)Using MSI afterburner to increase fan speed as i thought the issue may have been caused by overheating (seemed to work initially, but disconnects became more frequent, and as mentioned, even happened when just doing lightweight work) (During black screen)Restarting gpu drivers using WindowsKey+Control+Shift+B (Preventative/troubleshooting)Updating/ reinstalling Gpu drivers (Preventative/troubleshooting)Reinstalling windows using windows recovery "Reset this PC" option. (Same issues as before)- this option didnt clear everything from other drives, nor EVERYTHING from the boot drive, i have a list of everything it deleted if that is necesary to share. (Preventative/troubleshooting)Running an antivirus scan both quick and a thourough scan using the default windows scanner (Preventative/troubleshooting)Unplugging as many periferals as possble from PC as well as other devices drawing power on same circuit. (Same issues) Id really apreciate any advice, as if this is software, id love to fix it asap as i need this pc for both personal and school work, and if its hardware related, id love to get it fixed asap while most of my components are still under warranty. Thanks so much for your time, and if there are any questions please let me know so i can clarify as much as i can. Edited November 12, 2024 by Sampson._. Found solution

I suggest checking the crash causes and identifying potential driver issues. I don’t have specific details, but you can look into recent updates or known problematic drivers.
