Hi, your ASUS X407uf is running fine with 2x4GB RAM, but the Task Manager shows a lower speed of 2133MHz instead of the advertised 2400MHz. You might want to check the BIOS settings for an XMP profile or manually adjust the speed there. Since you're not familiar with ASUS' UEFI, exploring those options could help you fix it. Let me know if you need more guidance!

Avoid using the task manager; it lacks awareness of its physical origin. Review the memory section in CPU-Z.

The variation in RAM and CPU-Z readings comes from different modules installed in the same slot. The current setup is likely two 4 GB Crucial modules, while the switch to another module (like Samsung) caused changes in performance metrics. Yes, the layout now consists of two 4 GB Crucial sticks.

It appears you're referring to a specific screen or setting. Could you clarify what you mean by "memory tab"? I'm here to help with any questions or tasks related to it.

It's typically 2133 using either the Crucial or Samsung memory. You usually don't need more than two modules since they add timing and speed issues by default. If you can't overclock, you'll hit Intel's standard maximum speed when using two modules on a single channel.

It appears the setting is located in the BIOS under "AI Tweaker," labeled as "DOCP" rather than XMP.

It's 2133 with both models. I used a 4GB Samsung and later changed to a 2x4GB Crucial drive.

Yes, you're using a 2x4 GB Crucial drive. It's possible the Task Manager is displaying the wrong process, though it might still function properly.

I checked docp, but it doesn’t display those options or the AI tweaker feature. It seems the motherboard doesn’t support it. Here are some pictures of your BIOS setup.

Typically, most laptops don’t let you adjust the RAM speed—it will use the default frequency and settings provided. This is especially true because many CPUs, like those in Intel ARK, don’t officially recognize a 2400 MHz speed.
