I put in a WiFi/Bluetooth PCIe card and managed to get it running. Now my Nvidia 3060 stops working during games even though the card is removed. The computer stays on but the fan stops, and my three monitors turn black. I hear some error sounds through my headphones but can’t read the message because the screens are off. I can’t connect to Chrome Remote Desktop even though it works normally. The problem seems to appear when I open certain programs that need power, like Beamng.drive (Vulkan) and Google Earth. It worked before I added the wireless card. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead! It seems like a faulty power supply unit might be the issue. Make sure all cables are secure—there could have been a damaged connection. Also, try disconnecting the wireless card to see if it resolves the problem.
Here are the images of the GPU cables connected to and from the PSU. Everything unfolded right after I installed the wireless card. As soon as I did, it displayed a blue screen. I updated the BIOS to the version mentioned earlier, but nothing changed. A forum post suggested uninstalling any existing WiFi drivers, which resolved the issue. Windows started normally. I then visited the Gigabyte site to install drivers for my card, but this also triggered a blue screen. After removing the card, the problem persisted. I performed a Windows restore a few hours ago and it worked. From there, I downloaded drivers from Intel. I realized the Bluetooth dongle I’d used since the PC was installed was faulty. The card itself is just a slightly updated chip, but it’s essentially the same. Eventually, I tried using the antenna that came with my wireless card. It became clear then that the antennas were the root cause. Since my GPU was behaving erratically, I decided to switch to the new wireless card and used its antennas. Now the new card is installed, and my GPU stops working under load. I suspect either a motherboard issue or a bug in the newer BIOS, but the problem remains.
