I recently acquired a used GTX 1080 Gigabyte OC edition and observed that with display port, my monitor fails to detect any signal at startup. In contrast, HDMI functions perfectly. I must boot up my PC using an HDMI connection and then manually switch cables for DP to operate correctly. This situation differed from my previous GTX 1060, so I’m trying to figure out the issue.

Each GPU uses a distinct manufacturing process. The GPU firmware may require updates.

Surprised that NVIDIA didn't highlight this more. Changed to a 1080 Ti Strix, but still couldn<|pad|> to show BIOS via HDMI.
