I'm working on a laptop equipped with a GTX 1050 Ti. The internal display runs at 1080p 60Hz, while I'm attempting to connect an external monitor at 1080p 75Hz, specifically the Asus VA24EHE. For more detailed information, refer to my signature. The external monitor supports Freesync but lacks a DisplayPort port, which prevents its use. My issue is that when I enable only the external display, the frame rate consistently drops to 20–30 FPS (around 99% of the target). Switching to "duplicate" mode improves performance and smoothness, though it caps the refresh rate at 60Hz. I've installed the newest driver with a clean setup, but the problem persists. Windows display settings indicate the external monitor is utilizing my dedicated GPU and is set to 75Hz when used alone.

It looks like the issue has been resolved, possibly after a restart. I'll note this as solved if it remains consistent.
