yesterday i changed my amd 3600 to 5600x on my aorus b550m pro board, but power is on and the fan spins, yet nothing appears on the screen—display connection fails. when i tried another amd 4600, the display worked. my friend with a 5600 said he doesn’t see anything either. after updating bios, it still shows an error. what bios version should i install? how does it report this issue?

I attempted the update process and encountered some issues. I wasn't sure if I received an error or if something was wrong. It seems my USB drive might be formatted as FAT32. After downloading, I renamed the file to "gigabyte.bin." I tried using the Q-Flash button but also attempted the update through the BIOS. The instructions suggest the Q-Flash works even without a supported CPU, though you may need a compatible one. For BIOS updates, ensure the CPU is installed and reach at least F10 for the 5600x support.

I confirmed the issue persists after using the Q-Flash plus, so I took my PC to a repair shop. They’re checking to see if there’s a way to revert back to the previous version.

No rollback is available. You should be able to revert by installing an earlier version, just like applying an update. I don’t understand why you’d need it. Confirm you followed all the steps on the linked page carefully. Also verify you used the correct USB port—it usually only one works for this purpose.

Did you verify the correct displayport you're using? The 5600x lacks an integrated GPU, so signals from a motherboard port shouldn't function properly. You'll need a dedicated graphics card. Your mention of compatibility with a 4600 that has built-in graphics is interesting—though I'm open to clarification if needed.

I resolved it, then discovered the pendrive had an issue—probably after switching drives—I flashed it again and it functioned properly. Thanks everyone!
