I'm facing a problem where Windows isn't recognizing the full features of my Samsung QN90B 43". I managed to run it at 120Hz with 3840x2160 resolution and 10-bit RGB before. Recently I enabled HDR, but it only works at 60Hz with 3840x2160 at 8-bit YCbCr420. I've reinstalled the Nvidia drivers, used multiple HDMI inputs and cables, but I'm unsure what to try next. My system specs include the MSI Gaming Trio X 3090, Intel 9700F, MSI MPG Z390M, and other components.
I discovered a solution for the problem. Activating Gaming Mode on the screen resolves it and it remains stable even after switching back to normal mode. I’m uncertain if the issue will reappear upon restarting the TV or computer, though a fix is in place—despite being inconvenient. It might be related to EDID, but I haven’t identified the exact cause yet.
