My computer won’t power on at all. After a gaming session the next morning it failed to start. I unplugged it, turned off the power source, waited about eight hours, then tried again—this time it worked fine under stress and regular use. After shutting it down again, nothing happened. I’ve tested various fixes: swapping the power supply, re-seating RAM sticks (including each one individually), removing the GPU, using integrated graphics, and even draining power by holding the power button for 30 seconds with the supply off. I’m attaching a video showing what happens when I press the power button. You’ll hear the power supply activate and the fan spin, but there’s no response. The motherboard looks normal—no short circuits or swollen capacitors. Any advice before taking it to a repair shop would be great. My system specs: i9-12900K, not overclocked, MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WIFI Zotac RTX 3080 Ti.
Tested two units: Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 850W and Gigabyte Gold certified 850W. Model details are unclear.
