Hi there, I just got a Ryzen 5 5500 for my PC after replacing my old Ryzen 3 1200. My motherboard is an MSI A320M. I updated the BIOS before installing the new CPU to the latest version. When I put in the new chip it didn’t show up at all, the fans kept spinning, the debug lights flashed, and it said it booted but then restarted and stayed on the CPU for a while before turning off completely. After putting the old CPU back in, it still wouldn’t display anything. I also skipped a hard reset of the CMOS battery earlier, which seems to be causing the issue now. When I put the PC on and held down the CMOS while it started, it still didn’t work. Could you help me figure this out?

Occasionally a hardware adjustment needs multiple restarts before it stabilizes and works properly. Keeping the CMOS battery secured? Did you remove it with a screwdriver?
