I was running a game on my PC and switched to a second monitor, but both screens went dark and the fans began making a loud noise. After restarting, nothing functioned properly. I replaced the power supply unit, and now the fans are spinning and lights are illuminating—RAM, motherboard, and GPU are all showing up. The GPU light is on with fans spinning, but the monitors still aren’t receiving signals. I removed the CMOS chip and left it out for two minutes; then I reinserted the RAM and GPU. I tried booting with one or two RAM sticks and reconnected the DP cables on both PC and monitor. My PS5 boots fine, and even without the SSD, it works. I attempted to start without the SSD connected. When powered on, I saw a sequence of orange DRAM lights, red CPU light, followed by a white VGA light, then a green boot indicator. I built the system in January 2022 with these specs: Ryzen 5 3600, Asus Rog Strix B550-A, Corsair Dominator 4x 8GB, 3600MHz, CL18, and other components from various brands. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The boot indicator or other lights remain active during the self-test process. The system is operating normally, verifying each crucial part for any problems.

When only two RAM slots are available, the VGA and boot indicators remain active, whereas with all four slots, the amber DRAM indicator stays illuminated.

Keep two RAM sticks on hand since the computer will manage them better. Consider using an extra GPU if available.
