After assembling my new gaming computer, I’ve encountered frequent screen distortions when limiting my frame rate to 60. This is perplexing, considering my monitor’s maximum refresh rate is 144hz. I recognize that consistent frame rates are essential for synchronization with my display, and that technologies like Vsync and Gsync can be beneficial. Nonetheless, I experience significant input lag with Vsync, and I lack the capability to utilize Gsync. Furthermore, my current setup employs an HDMI cable, which automatically restricts my display’s refresh rate to 60hz. Would switching to a DisplayPort connection – specifically, using DVI – potentially resolve this issue?
