I own an RTX 2060 (6GB) paired with a Ryzen 7 2700 (3.2GHz), 32 GB RAM (3200 MHz), gigabyte b450m v2, running Windows 11 at 750 watts. When playing certain games, my graphics card isn’t being fully utilized. For example, in multiplayer on the new Call of Duty it runs smoothly at 120fps but only uses about 70% of the card, while Warzone gives around 80fps with just 60% usage. The hardest part is playing Rust, which demands roughly 40% of the card and drops to 40fps. I’ve tried resetting, reinstalling/reinstalling drivers, cleaning the graphics software, wiping the graphics drivers, and even doing a full Windows install. Games were redownloaded after a clean install, and using CMD scans helped fix some files. Other notes: I previously owned a 1650 Super (still in my closet) and my CPU usage is quite low. My 2060 has only one fan and was part of a prebuilt MSI build.

The efficiency per core is lower when the game runs on fewer than all cores. For an 8-core processor, using just 4 cores results in about 50% usage, yet performance is limited by the CPU capacity. Higher CPU load typically leads to reduced frame rates.

There’s no ideal method to view it because Ryzen Master won’t launch on your system after switching to Windows 11.

Task Manager>Advanced options> Performance> Click on the CPU graph and switch to display logical processor. Hwinfo64 will also appear and is a highly helpful tool in many areas. https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

Check the system details using Hwinfo 64 in sensors-only mode. Observe the sensor readings while you play Rust.

Initially I upgraded, but now I’ve also managed clean starts. Also, I was on 11 with the 1650 super and didn’t experience any of this.

The CPU section will begin with temperature and voltage readings, followed by a utilization overview. I’m using a personal computer, so I’m taking screenshots from the web. Spoiler alert.
