Hello to all, here’s how I’m trying to describe my problem: My computer has been acting up, freezing roughly every 16 minutes, sometimes showing a blue screen and other times just stopping completely. This occurs whether I'm playing intense games or not. Through my research, I suspect the memory controller on my CPU might not be fully compatible with my RAM, which could be the root cause. I've had this setup for about two years, added two extra RAM sticks only a year ago. I also notice some visual glitches in the images you mentioned. The system crashes when XMP is enabled or not, even if I stick to the minimum frequency settings. I’ll share my current configuration: Windows 10 64-bit, CPU Ryzen 7 3700X, GPU Nvidia RTX 2070, Super RAM G.Skill Trident Z F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC at 3600 MHz (four sticks, eight GB each), and a MSI Unify X570 power supply with Corsair HX750i.

CPU only operates at 3200MHz, but it was overclocked to 3600MHz. The RAM speed increase is just 15%, resulting in a 1.5% boost in overall system performance, though stability may drop. Full slots might cause minor voltage issues for optimal operation. Check if the memory remains stable at the new voltage after setting a stable speed and resetting. Then run GPU stress tests to identify any visual problems.
I removed the CMOS and only used two sticks; so far it hasn’t crashed, but strange things keep happening: 1. The computer starts up extremely slowly, even with an SSD running the OS 2. RAM consumption is high despite opening almost nothing besides Spotify, Discord, and Steam 3. It keeps reporting a “connecting and disconnecting” USB device that isn’t actually there. Your system may have lost files. Reinstalling Windows could be an option if you're otherwise fine, though a scan might help. Locate the system drive, search for cmd, and open it with administrator privileges. Execute the following commands before restarting: chkdsk c: /f /r to check files, then run sfc /scannow to repair Windows image. After rebooting, if issues persist, use DISM.exe to clean and restore health. If needed, reboot again and monitor improvements.
