so long story short i built this computer about a month ago while i was waiting for all the water cooling parts to arrive. i finished the water cooling yesterday and played some diablo 4 for a couple hours and when to bed when i got home from work today it would boot to a black screen but all the rgb was working. it was giving me post code a0 which mean all good. after several restarts i tried clearing cmos after that i got post code d6 no console output devices are found. so i tried booting it with integrated graphics after this i got a screen about repairing the bios so i did. and it booted just fine and my 2 spare monitors all worked which were still plunged in to the gpu. so i tried shutting down and plugging main display back into the gpu and again nothing but a black screen post code a0 but all the rgb was working still. so i went back to integrated reinstalled drivers and checked bios version was up to date. still back screen showing post code a0 again. relevant hardware asus maximus z690 extreme 13900ks msi4090 suprim vertically mounted g.skill ddr5 6000 cl30 2 Samsung 990 pros

I’d verify the BIOS graphics configuration, as it might be using integrated graphics instead of a dedicated card. I’d consult the motherboard manual and search terms like "graphic," "gop," "pegi," etc.

Adjust the settings and disconnect your two monitors. When you reconnect one, it loads to the desktop. With all three monitors connected, it still doesn’t show anything. It functioned properly when all three were powered through the GPU last night.

It looks like multi-monitor setup can be tricky, but the Reddit discussion offers some tips for experimenting. Good luck!

Repairing BIOS often isn't linked to Windows problems. It usually stems from incorrect BIOS configurations, battery issues, or other hardware concerns. Consider resetting your BIOS back to its original state and testing it with those settings temporarily.
