You have an old server hard drive that still works but isn’t reading properly. It spins, makes a clicking noise, then stops. You might want to check connections, clean dust, and test with another device. The attached file is the sound recording you mentioned.

It's gone. You should either dispose of it or hire a costly data restoration service.

As mentioned, a click indicates a failing drive. If it wasn’t saved, it’s likely worth trying recovery. The same applies if it held sensitive data.
