Disk check continued to run automatically after startup on one of your older drives. Since you forgot the password and were in a rush, you disabled it by booting it off. Using a USB stick unlocked it, and you gained access to the command prompt. On your phone, you found methods suggesting NTFS formatting or cleaning, but mining left the drive dirty. Now you have an NTFS drive that’s fully functional. If you leave it idle, it should complete the disk check without errors, assuming everything is stable.

Chkdsk executes only if there’s an issue on the drive. Allow it to complete, then provide the status it reports.
