I initially assumed there were other problems but began tracking the boot drive activity. With all applications running at idle, I was using around 4 gigabytes of reads and 10 gigabytes of writes. Once Firefox was closed, usage dropped to about 2 gig reads and 4 gig writes over roughly eight hours, except for a few monitoring programs and Steam. No other processes were running during that time. Was this typical behavior on a Windows 10 system?
