I'm not certain about your exact situation, but from a performance standpoint to cost point of view, you really need to upgrade to a Ryzen X3D chip to notice a significant performance boost.
If you compare the 5700X3D with the 9700X, the 5700X3D outperforms in some games and matches it in others. You don't have the X3D version, just the standard 5700X, but it would be much more sensible to purchase a 5700X3D instead.
If you're planning an upgrade for other reasons, that's fine! But from a pure gaming angle, it's better to stay with what you have and wait until you can afford a X3D chip like the 9800X3D.
