My setup is a 9700k Z390 m Gaming MB with 16gb Corsair LXR XT RTX 2080 Ti, NVMe NVMe SSD, and D15 SATA. I haven’t ever overclocked before and only adjusted my memory to all-core boost recently. The main concern is finding a safe voltage setting. I’ve seen reports of CPU voltage spikes up to 1.412 volts on the motherboard, and I understand that 1.35V is often cited as the ideal maximum. My VRM runs between 34°C at idle and about 55°C under load when all-core boost is active, and my CPU follows similar trends—around 18°C at idle and 55°C under load with boost enabled. Since my temperatures stay in the 1.4V range, it seems fine. Please let me know if you need more details or clarification.

18c idle. What’s your room temperature? I’m in a shed. The max is 1.45v, but with all cores it drops to about 1.35v under load. Feel free to take my settings if you like. https://www.overclock.net/threads/xtu-oc...t-28649779

I smoothly handled an overclocked 8600K running at 1.375V throughout the day. I believe as long as temperatures stay under control, increasing voltage shouldn't pose a major issue. Some folks report their CPU wore out faster, while others say they've kept a 1.5V CPU running for years without problems.

You're verifying the VID and Vcore values. They differ from each other. For better accuracy, consider using HWiNFO64 instead of HWMonitor.

The 1.412V level is acceptable, but it might be excessive for regular stock speeds. It could indicate that "all core boost active" was turned on, suggesting a Multicore Enhancement feature that raises the voltage unnecessarily.
